Formed 18 months ago, Butterfly Bangs’ first two self-produced demos, ‘Catch/Explode’ and ‘Summer Shadows on the Wall’ were both played on BBC Radio 1 and XFM.

The next one ‘The Greatest Love’ brought the band to the attention of Nicky Stein at Clinton’s law firm in Covent Garden, who in turn put them in touch with Weekender Records in London. Their first official single, ‘On The Street’, is out now through the label on limited edition 7” vinyl, on download and has been described as “…an infectious burst of high energy pop rock n roll shot through with the spirit of Dexys and Arcade Fire..’ (Rough Trade)
